The Word Is Out

Legendary columnist and publicist extraordinaire, Liz Smith, has been dropped from the New York Post, after 33 years.

The newspaper has cited economic issues behind the decision to not renew Liz's $125,000 contract.

I say, expect a book in the coming months, unless some sort of confidentiality clause was part of her package.

I, for one, can't wait to see what happens.

  1. Oh let's hope there's no confidentiality clause!

What a bad, bad decision btw, sacrificing a columnist like that in hard times like these.

  2. It is a sign of the times. I agree it was not a good decision, though. You would think that plenty of advertisers would be happy to have their ads appear in the online edition of her column.

you better make this good.
