Binge And Now Purge

How the blue hell did this happen?

I've been rather gluttonous with my music hunting and collecting it up like somebody's going to take it all away.

I've blogged before about how my iTurds was such a mess what with duplicate tracks and such. I cleaned up my Madonna file and that alone was 120 useless tracks.

8332??? I took a quick scan and there's stuff I haven't even listened to yet; and I know that because of the play count. Last night I was tapping away on the 'puter and I must have gone back and forth about ten times just to see what was playing. Listening to my music is like listening to the radio -- not always a choice track and sometimes, I don't even know what song is playing.

  1. God damn, I've only got about 1,600 items in my iTunes library. It says I could play continuously for 5.1 days, I think that's enough. But then the library is every growing. I add about 6 tracks per week to it.

The latest is 80's electronica/hip-hop. Whoodini, Newcleus, Jonzun Crew, The Egyptian Lover, Mantronix, stuff like that.

  4. I thought the 1500 or so I have was plenty. The time it would take to sort through 8,000+ - I can't even imagine.
