The Ontario Government's new law banning cell phone use while driving took effect yesterday.
And yes, that includes texting, you guilty arsehole.
Law enforcement agencies will exercise a three month grace period, but after that, no one is safe from a potential $500.00 fine for getting caught using a "handheld device."
Those dang bluetooth devices that make you think everybody is insane until you realize they're actually talking to someone are about to be everywhere.
In fact, I'd love to hear from any readers who work in the industry about the increase in hands-free devices sold in the last week.
In the meantime, I'd like the provincial government to now focus on the motorists who read, do their make-up, fiddle with their iPods and pick their noses while driving.
Get them all!
A good measure! Now I don’t have to be so worried on the road behind the wheel while I’m masturbating and having sex.
ReplyDeletehmmmmmm...i think masturbating counts as using a hand-held device.
ReplyDeleteAmen! Hopefully there will be fewer distracted drivers on your roads.
ReplyDeleteHa!@your response to Ayem8y.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait 'til they're banned here in January.
I love that sign. I think we should have them posted every 100 feet.
