Hard Boiled Ecchh!

Ahhhhh, the hard boiled egg.

For those of us not allergic or who are civilized lacto ovo vegetarians, the hard boiled egg can be the perfect enhancement to salads, lasagnas, or act as easily transported protein snacks.

Call me a purist, call me old fashioned; but when it comes to the hard boiled egg, less is more. Egg salad or deviled eggs excluded.

If I strolled through my local groceteria and saw pre-hard boiled eggs, I think I would scoff and move on. If I saw the following product, I think I would barf, and then scoff and move on:

SACRILEGE!!!

  2. I do like deviled eggs, and we do chop up hard boiled eggs for use in potato salad.

But that pictured makes me want to hurl!

  3. Ew. Just... Ew. I think I'm ovo-intolerant anyway, but that gelatinous "faux-a" log is just gross.

  4. They look like egg cookies.

Nasty! I only like egg whites, but not boiled.

I would totally barf on the things, after causing a scene. I caused a scene just the other day in Wal-Mart when I saw "Potted Meat" across from the juice. It was next to 'Palm hearts' whatever the fuck those are. EWWWWWWWW!

  5. I've recently been looking at a device on the internet that turns hard boiled eggs into perfect cubes. Bugger only knows why!
