30 Day Challenge: Day 30 ~ Whatever Tickles Your Fancy

...and here we are, at Day 30 of the Thirty Day Blogger Challenge. Sure, it took me 60 days to do it, but I did it, dagnabit!!

Day 30 is a "whatever tickles my fancy" post and since we're at the end of this little meme, I thought I'd reward ALL of us with some ends that I'd fancy a tickle with!!

30 Day Challenge: The Rest of Day 28 (Year In Detail) & Day 29 ~ The Next 365 Days

Back to this ridiculous meme (whose idea was this again?). I know you'll all forgive me splitting Day 28 (a year's worth of details is alot of shit!), especially with Spirit Day happening in between posts.

So, I actually don't want to dwell too much on the rest...January to June waffled from fucked to fantastic on a regular basis. From work to the tragic death of my mother's husband, not a single week went by without some form of fucked-upped-ness.

In February, I returned to work after another lengthy absence, only to discover that the bloom had fallen off the rose -- for everyone. If you had been following back in those days, you'll remember I was so miserable that I used to do Monday De-Motivational posts. If not, go HERE. I'll wait...

Oh, hai...
At the time, they were (still are) sarcastic and truthful and made me laugh, in a twisted, weird way. Looking at them today makes me a little sad for how long I let other people dictate my happiness.

You may also be able to recall me posting about a fantastically stellar and motivational chat I had with my District Manager. You don't? Go HERE. I'll wait...

I know, right.

In June, during one of my weekly progress meetings with my DM, I reached the point where I had had enough. No more bullying; no more intimidation; no more hostility...I chose not to own it anymore. I gave my notice right then and there.

Suddenly, 20 years of bullshit, laughter, late nights, 7 day work weeks, Christmas rush, mother's day rush, father's day rush, Easter, Thanksgiving, BBQ season, corporate visits, BOXING DAY!, and the growing nerve and gall of the very general public fell away and I was irreversibly - capital "C"- Changed.

I moved to a different brand within the company and for the last 3 months, I've been slinging boxes, sweating up a storm, slicing my fingers open on cardboard and boxcutters, dodging falling furniture and coming home smelling all skunky...and I DON'T love it. However, I do love it more than what I was doing.

30 Day Challenge: Day 29 ~ Hopes, Dreams and Plans for The Next 365 Days

This is easily summed up with several simple thoughts and meditations:

  • Breathe.
  • Ask. Believe. Receive.
  • You get what you give.
  • You bring about what you talk about.
  • We've only got 4 minutes to save the world.
Okay, maybe not that last one, but you get the point. Before the next 365 days are over, I plan to have either started my new career (does anyone happen to have an extra one laying around?), or enrolled in an institution of higher learning to get all edumicated and SMRTer.

There. That oughta do it. Only one more day left....

This one says, "Come hither" and "Fuck off!" at the same time.

Temporary memory lapse.)
